Aurora South Town Centre Precinct Plan

About the plan

The Aurora South Precinct Plan applies to the land at 180N, 188M and 200 O’Herns Road, Epping and is part of the overall Aurora Development Plan: Part 2.

The precinct plan will guide the future use and development of the land for commercial, retail, mixed use and medium/high density residential land uses.

What the plan does

The preparation of a precinct plan is a requirement in accordance with the Development Plan Overlay (Schedule 23) in the Whittlesea Planning Scheme.

It includes text and plan components and provides for a road layout and future development, including the South Town Centre comprising of commercial, retail, mixed use and medium/high density residential land uses.

Exhibition of the plan

As part of a non-statutory exhibition process, the Aurora South Precinct Plan was referred to potentially affected property owners/occupiers and relevant Government agencies. 

The precinct plan was exhibited from 8 January 2026 to 5 February 2026 and was approved on 26 April 2026.
