The Civic Centre and Whittlesea Service Hub will close at 2pm on 24 December and will reopen on Monday 5 January. Phone services will remain available from 29 to 31 December and 2 January.

Bin collections during holiday period

Due to the Christmas and New Year public holidays, some bin collections will be delayed. Between Thursday 25 December and Friday 2 January bins that are normally collected on Thursdays and Fridays will be collected one day later.

Youth Council

Representing our City's youth

The Youth Council is a formal advisory group made up of young people. Members are aged between 12–22 years and, living, working or studying within the municipality.

The Youth Council meet monthly. Some of their key responsibilities include:

providing valuable advice to Council on matters affecting young people
creating opportunities for young people to engage with Council and have their voices heard
advocating for the interests, challenges and opportunities faced by young people in our municipality
offering input and feedback on relevant matters referred from the Council before formal decisions are made.
