Experience the Ziebell Farmhouse transformed through projection art created by participants in the Projection Artist Development Program. Guided by The Little Projector Company, the works reimagine this historic homestead through light, creativity, and storytelling. 

Zapalzo The Curious Tadpole of Edgar’s Creek 

The Curious Tadpole of Edgar’s Creek follows a tiny tadpole exploring Ziebell’s Farmhouse with fresh, curious eyes. Inspired by local wildlife, flowers and historic details, the projection celebrates the idea that no matter how old a place is, there’s always something new to discover if we take the time to look.  

Orlando Benzon Tuke and Fergus Costigan - Perspective Collage 

Perspective Collage explores the textures which form Thomastown. Together, they attempt to exhibit what stands out most to them, how they overlap and how some aspects will go unnoticed.  

Bushra Hasan - A Journey To Home 

A Journey to Home celebrates the courage of migration, honouring families who left home to build new lives while holding onto their cultural roots. Inspired by the Ziebell family story, this projection also pays tribute to the Wurundjeri Country, recognising the enduring connection of the First Peoples to this land and the rich, multicultural community that continues to shape Thomastown today.  

Ildikó Csilla Kormányos - German Moment 

A German Moment honours the Ziebell family and the German settlers whose determination helped establish the first European settlement in this place. Celebrating their migration story and enduring cultural legacy, the work also invites reflection on the generations of people who have since arrived, each adding their own chapter to the evolving story of Thomastown. 

Gary McKie - Homestead 

A Lava Story of endurance, continuity and change, about the rocks that built the fences, that built the church and built the houses of Westgarthtown…Then there were cows…It’s a colourful tale.

Neek - Cows on the Groove   

Cows on the Groove reimagines Westgarthtown's dairy heritage through a vibrant psychedelic lens, where the cows become symbols of both Thomastown's past and its people today. Beneath its playful surface, the work invites viewers to question the stories embedded in the landscape and consider the many layers of history that have shaped this place.
