Female-only learn to ride skill sessions

Female-only learn to ride sessions will guide women living in the City of Whittlesea to improve their cycling skills.

Whether you are completely new to cycling or wanting to brush up on some riding skills, this program will help you learn the basics of riding and build your confidence.

Delivered by an accredited cycling coach in a safe and supportive environment the program is delivered through a series of four weekly sessions covering topics such as:

  • balancing
  • emergency braking
  • turning skills
  • bike setup and safety checks
  • information on local shared paths and road rules.

Learn safely and at your own pace in a supportive environment.

A helmet and bike in good working order are required.

If you do not own a bike, a bike can be hired at an additional cost.

Concession fees can be applied for valid concession card holders.

On each day across the four weeks, there will be three session times available of one hour each.

  • Group one: 9am - 10am
  • Group two: 10:15am - 11:15am
  • Group three: 11:30am - 12:30pm
