All Abilities Play Space Frequently Asked Questions

The shelters are not able to be booked, they are available only on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
However, you can bring and set up your own picnic or temporary pop-up structures on the large grassed
area.

The park and playground are open 24 hours a day, however the toilets and other play and security features operate within restricted hours.

The mist rings, water jets and bubblers in the water play area operate from 8am to 8pm during the warmer months (typically mid-November to mid-March). The water play pumps and tables will operate all year round.

The lighting is set to operate from dusk to dawn.

Toilets are open every day in the warmer months from 7am through to 8.30pm while the water play is operational.

In the cooler months the toilets will be open from 7am to 7pm.

A Changing Places facility is a larger than standard accessible toilet with a height adjustable adult-sized change table, a tracking hoist, a shower and space for two people either side of a peninsula toilet.

MLAK (Master Locksmith Association Keys) Keys for the Changing Places facility are available by emailing leisure@whittlesea.vic.gov.au and can be collected from Council's Westfield offices during business hours.

To acquire an MLAK key, individuals will need to register their details with Council so that a database of key locations is available.

In the event the carpark is full, additional parking can be found at the Mill Park Leisure Centre, located 350m down Morang Drive towards Childs road. Entry to the Leisure Centre car park is off the roundabout at Moorhead Drive and Morang Drive.

Dogs (excluding registered service animals) are not permitted within the fenced playground area. This restriction includes dogs on leads.

Damage to play equipment or park fixtures and feedback on the play space can be sent through to parksand.urbandesign@whittlesea.vic.gov.au. If the matter requires urgent attention, please call 9217 2170.

Smoking is not permitted within the fenced area of the play space.

The bins are collected every weekday morning and twice a day on the weekends.

Toilets are cleaned twice a day, once in the morning and again in the early afternoon.

Photography is permitted within the play space however we do ask that the privacy of individuals is considered and respected in photos.
