Outdoor gyms

We have outdoor gyms in a number of suburbs that are free for everyone to use.

 ** Playgrounds, skateparks, public BBQ's and outdoor fitness equipment now closed. **
In line with the Victorian Government announcement about the return to stage 3 restrictions, all City of Whittlesea playgrounds, skateparks, public BBQ's and outdoor fitness equipment will close on Wednesday 8 July until further notice.

 

 

Equipment available at each of the outdoor gyms may include:

  • stretch station (step up, push up, stretch post)
  • rowing machine
  • cycle seat
  • dip bars
  • cross trainer
  • stepper
  • ab cruncher/ chin up

Full gyms

  • City of Whittlesea Public Gardens, 158 Barry Road Lalor 
  • 26 Juggal Close, Epping
  • Corner Galloway Drive and Neptune Terrace, Mernda 

Interval training gyms - equipment located along walking tracks

Epping 1

  1. White Light Ave, Epping (opposite Crimson Cres) - walk 420m to get to location 2
  2. Corner Dappleshade Ave and Starlight Gardens - walk 310m to get to location 3
  3. Corner Dappleshade Ave and Bail Street

Epping 2

  1. 19 Amarath Circuit, Epping - walk 210m to get to location 2
  2. Broadleaf Drive, Epping - large adventure playground on site

Minor equipment - beams and bars

  • Corner Contempo Blvd and Evolve Esplanade, Wollert
  • Goulburn Park, 45 Hathfelde Blvd, Mernda - includes pieces along walking track and a grassed oval area
  • 99-127 Flaxen Hills Road, Doreen

Please consult a doctor before using the equipment to check suitability for your level of fitness. Patrons use the equipment at their own risk.
