Create Ripples of Change at Neighbourhood House Week

Neighbourhood house week

The City of Whittlesea is proud to support Neighbourhood House Week 2025, a nationwide celebration of the vital role Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres play in fostering strong, inclusive, and connected communities.

This year’s theme, “Ripples of Change”, recognises the power of small, everyday actions to create meaningful and lasting impact. From 12 to 18 May, Neighbourhood Houses across Australia will host local events and activities that highlight the ways in which these centres spark positive change through social connection, education, volunteering, and community initiatives.

As part of this celebration, Greenbrook Community House in Epping is hosting a free Social Craft Group and Lunch, inviting residents of all ages and backgrounds to connect over shared interests and a bite to eat. Whether participants bring their own knitting or crochet, create art, or simply drop in for a friendly chat, the session promotes inclusion, mental wellbeing, and a stronger sense of community belonging.
