Are you a classical instrumentalist looking for an exciting performance opportunity?

We’re seeking classical musicians for Crescendo Screen Classics, our August concert, and we invite you to be part of it. This professional-calibre performance will take place in the Yan Yean Theatre at Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, South Morang, on the evening of Saturday 22 August.

This is a paid performance opportunity for local classical musicians of a minimum AMEB Grade 7 (or equivalent). Individuals and small chamber groups are welcome to apply.

This year’s theme, Screen Classics, invites performers to present a single classical work that has been featured in film or television (excluding music originally composed for the screen). Performances may be up to eight minutes in duration.

Participants will gain valuable experience performing in a professional venue, developing stage presence, and observing concert etiquette. Performers will also become part of a supportive artistic network that encourages growth and collaboration. A soundcheck will be held from 2pm on Saturday 22 August, and all participants must be available for this afternoon and for the evening performance.

How to apply

Interested musicians should:

  1. Decide on a piece for your performance
  2.  Confirm your accompanist is available (if required)
