Opportunities for local businesses to grow their business
We advertise tenders for our major works, goods and services. Our public tenders are usually advertised in the local government tenders section of Saturday’s The Age newspaper, listed on Regional Industry Link and our website. Access our current tenders.
Businesses that are thinking about or already exporting can access advice, information and services through the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), the Australian Government’s trade and investment agency. For more information, visit the Austrade website.
You can also find out about export opportunities, export grants and assistance, and make export-related contacts, through the Victorian Government’s website, Export Connections.
Research shows that 65 per cent of consumers strongly prefer to buy locally made products, so becoming an Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) licensee can be an effective way to reach these markets.
The Australian Made, Australian Grown (AMAG) campaign was launched in 1986, and the green and gold logo is now Australia’s most recognised and trusted product symbol. The City of Whittlesea is a proud campaign supporter.
For more information, visit the Australian Made, Australian Grown website.
We are creating a database of local and sustainable businesses that we can work with to help us deliver works and services that benefit our community.
