Today is a day of Total Fire Ban and Extreme fire risk conditions in the City of Whittlesea. This means that no fires can be lit, or be allowed to remain alight, in the open air from 12:01 AM until 11:59 PM today.
Due to changing conditions to the north of the City of Whittlesea and in anticipation of the fire risk worsening later today, an Emergency Relief Centre has been opened at the Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.
