Support for families

The Family Engagement Team is available to assist families in completing registration and enrolment forms for long day care and kindergarten, help identify and overcome barriers in accessing early childhood services and access family support services and programs.

Ways we support families

The Family Engagement Team provides the following services:

Registration and enrolment support

We can help you fill in forms for:

Kindergarten
Long day care
Other early childhood education services

We can explain these forms to you and answer your questions.

Identifying barriers

Sometimes families face challenges that make it hard to access services.

We work with families and services to understand these challenges and find solutions.

Support services

We can help you connect with services and programs, including:

Maternal and Child Health services
Immunisation services
Family support services
Material aid and financial counselling
Family violence support services
Parenting education and resources
Library story times
Community and supported playgroups

Multicultural Support

Our Multicultural Family Engagement Facilitators support families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

We can provide language and translation support, and help filling out forms for:

Kindergarten
Childcare
Primary school (Foundation year)
