School Engagements
We work with primary and secondary schools across the City of Whittlesea to connect young people with programs, activities and support available through Youth Services.
Our team visits schools throughout the year to run activities such as lunchtime events, leadership and wellbeing workshops, careers expos, information sessions and youth-led projects. We also talk with students about topics such as friendships, respectful relationships, leadership and ways to get involved in their community.
School engagements are a great way to meet our Youth Services team and learn about Youth Council, school holiday activities, skill-building opportunities and other programs available to young people.
By working closely with schools, we help young people know where to find support, have their voices heard and discover new ways to get involved in their community.
We also host the annual Whittlesea Principals’ Breakfast, bringing school leaders and wellbeing teams together from across the region to connect, share ideas and discuss the current and emerging needs of young people and our school communities.
