About FReeZA

Are you aged 12 to 25 with a passion for music, arts, event management, or community involvement?

The City of Whittlesea's FReeZA program is your gateway to an exciting world of creativity, empowerment, and connection. As a State Government initiative, FReeZA offers you the chance to lead the planning and staging of unforgettable music and cultural events that are alcohol, drug, smoke and vape free for young people in our local community.

From live bands that move your soul to diverse training opportunities that elevate your skills, FReeZA brings you a kaleidoscope of youth-centric events that cater to every interest. Whether you are into music, arts, or are simply seeking new volunteering experiences, FReeZA is your canvas for self-expression and personal growth.

Every Monday during school terms, the FReeZA crew gather to collaborate! 

You're invited to immerse yourself in an atmosphere buzzing with creativity and connect with like-minded individuals to explore the endless possibilities that FReeZA has to offer.

FReeZA/Westfield Music Showcase

Head over to the vibrant outdoor dining precinct of Westfield Plenty Valley and enjoy live music by the incredible talents of young local performers.

Live Music Program

Radio host and TV presenter, Benny Gregs will kick off the event at 6pm introducing an amazing line up of local performers.

Community Festival 2024

Join us at the Youth Zone at City of Whittlesea's Community Festival where we have an exciting line-up up FReeZA performers. 

When: Sunday 17 March, 11am to 5pm
Where: Civic Centre, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang
Cost: FREE

11:00am - Benny Gregs
Benny our magnetic Emcee, will lead you through a show-stopping lineup of young musicians.

11:55 am - Noah Calderan & Band
Noah Calderan is a 19-year-old emerging pop sensation is causing a stir in the Australian underground music scene. His pop vocals and distinctive flows, blending familiarity with a fresh sound, instantly captivate the ears of listeners.

12:35 pm - Odin M
Dive into the world of Odin M, a 17-year-old artist writing and singing about life with a unique modern spin influenced by legends like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.

1:15 pm - Sam Curtis
Join the journey of Sam Curtis, an up-and-coming guitarist and singer-songwriter with rock and folk influences from Naarm/Melbourne.

1:55 pm - Lune the Moon
Immerse yourself in the dynamic ukulele trio, Luna The Moon, featuring Izzy Votsis, Jess Maio, and Julia Marulli.

2:40 pm - Norwood
Enjoy the captivating tunes of Norwood, the project of Olivia Bolmat and Nathaniel Peacock, inspired by upfront and honest songwriting.

3:25 pm - Ellis Ares
Ellis Ares returns to the stage with their electric messaging and passionate sound, marking their first gig in a year.
