Repair Cafes

The City of Whittlesea’s repair cafés aim to help you with minor repairs to help reduce waste in our communities.

Mernda Repair Café

Located at Mernda Neighbourhood House, the Mernda Repair Café will be open monthly for residents to come and have their faulty or broken items fixed.  

Run by Mernda Neighbourhood House, Whittlesea Community Connections and the City of Whittlesea, the repair cafe will be staffed by skilled volunteers from the community.

What type of items can be repaired?

A range of repairers will be available at each session with skills in repairing items including bikes, small electrical items, clothing and jewellery.

The repair café is located at Mernda Neighbourhood House, 2 Heals Road, Mernda.

Donnybrook Repair Corner

The Donnybrook Repair Corner is open the first Saturday of every month for residents to come and have their faulty or broken items fixed.  

The repair cafe will be staffed by skilled volunteers from the community, and will be open on the first Saturday of each month.

What type of items can be repaired?

A range of repairers will be available at each session with skills in repairing items including bikes, small electrical items, clothing and jewellery.

The repair café is located at Shared Space, 995 Donnybrook Road, Donnybrook

Supporting repair cafes such as this is just one way the City of Whittlesea are helping our community tackle waste and is one of the first items to be actioned as part of our Rethinking Waste Plan 2021-2030.
