Celebrating our diverse cultures

Celebrating our diverse cultures

Tuesday, March 19, 2024

The City of Whittlesea is inviting community to join in the festivities of Cultural Diversity Week taking place from 18 to 24 March, with this year’s theme being 'Our shared stories - celebrating together'.

Throughout the week, numerous events across the municipality will bring people together to reflect on our rich cultures, celebrate multiculturism and honour the valuable contributions of people from diverse backgrounds to our vibrant community.

City of Whittlesea will host a free event on Tuesday 19 March at Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC), located at 35 Ferres Boulevard in South Morang from 5pm to 8:30pm.

This exciting event will showcase captivating stories, performances, art, music, cultural clothing, and delicious cuisine for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, the event will provide dates, water, and a designated prayer space is also provided for those observing fast during Ramadan.

Cultural Diversity Week is an excellent opportunity for us to unite individuals, communities and organisations from different backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity and emphasizing the importance of cultivating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all.

Check out all the events across the City of Whittlesea. For full details and to register visit www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/cdw
