Holiday bin collections, recycling and repurposing

Bins will not be collected on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day and will be collected a day later. Collections will run one day behind schedule for the rest of that week.

For recycling cardboard, green waste, and timber view the recycling facilities opening hours for the Christmas and New Year period.  

For items that can’t be reused, repaired or recycled, view the rubbish tip opening hours.

Christmas tree collection 

Council offers a Christmas tree collection as part of the bundled branch collection service. A Christmas tree can be collected on Monday 29 January. To make a booking call us on 9217 2170. 

Donating unwanted gifts

If you receive gifts that you don’t want, consider donating them to a charity, such as those below:
