Redleap Recreation Reserve

Redleap Recreation Reserve in Mill Park is an 8.3 hectare site that the City of Whittlesea has recently upgraded. The reserve contains a football/cricket oval, sports pavilion, a new playground, basketball half court, lake, walking tracks, car parking and public toilets.

What's new?

As per the recommendation in the Master Plan, the southern play space has been upgraded to cater for broader age groups.

The new play space includes:

  • updated play equipment with a focus on nature play
  • a flying fox
  • a basketball half court
  • an upgraded shelter with a barbecue and picnic settings
  • an accessible carousel
  • drinking fountains.

The existing public toilet has been retained.

The upgrade of Redleap Recreation Reserve is supported by a $545,000 contribution from the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund. 

Peter Hopper Lake

Peter Hopper Lake is set to get an upgrade.

The upgrade will help restore the water quality and ensure the lake can remain a place for the community and wildlife to enjoy for years to come.
